Bridging the gap between AI & Neuroscience for groundbreaking research.
I am a PhD Candidate in Biomed Eng & Neuroscience at the University of Toronto.
Previously, I was a Mitacs Accelerate Fellow Intern at Neureka.ai from 2020 to 2022. I was also a TA for Deep Learning & Neural Networks course by Jimmy Ba at Uni. of Toronto in 2022 & 2023.
I have a broad set of interests, but recently I have been working on:
Besides research, I enjoy learning French🇫🇷 & Spanish🇪🇸, reading about evolutionary biology🧬 & music theory🎼, exploring finance🏦, working out🏋️♂️, & playing soccer⚽.
Also, I served as the President of BESA in 2019 & the Vice-President of ISC in 2019-20. And I received a Certificate in Business Fundamentals from GMCA.

I will be in Prince Edward Island for the 2023 CLAE Annual Scientific Meeting taking place on October 13-15, 2023, as a speaker at the session on Brainstem Seizures: Out of Sight, Out of Mind. My talk is titled at Interactions of Kindled Cerebral and Brainstem Seizures: AI Analyses and I will talk about how AI can be applied to the Epilepsy research. If you're in the vicinity, I would love to connect and collaborate. Hit me up.
I published my first Medium article, titled at "The Hidden Bias in AI’s ‘Productivity’ & ‘Qualification’ Metrics: Why We Need to Broaden Our Horizons". It is based on my 8+ years of post-undergrad experience in the fields of engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, and neuroscience. I decided to talk about this Hidden Bias, which actually is not hidden, rather it is Not UN-hidden, in a sense. It is a 10 mins read, so please let me know what you think of it, and whether you have experienced the same or not.
I just launched my personal website. Make sure to check it out regularly.
I am taking part in Great Cycle Challenge to support Kid's Cancer Fighters. Every 2 mins, a child is diagnosed with cancer, the largest killer of children from disease in Canada! Please support my 500km challenge by making a donation.
I was featured on the Krembil Research Institue Social Media. Grateful to be part of a great community and institute.
